Stage 1 Drought Restrictions - Watering Schedule
August 5, 2024
Residents of Paloma Creek and Northlake Estates,
It has been brought to our attention that there is some confusion regarding the correct days to water. Please see below for clarification of responsibilities when it comes to water and sewer and the roles the District and Mustang SUD play to ensure our residents have sufficient amounts of clean drinking water available.
The Fresh Water Supply Districts of Paloma Creek and Northlake Estates have established their own watering days for the mandatory twice a week watering plan as called for by Upper Trinity Regional Water District. The watering days for Paloma Creek and Northlake Estates ARE DIFFERENT than what Mustang SUD requires of their customers. Mustang SUD asked the Districts to purposely set watering days that are different from other Mustang customers. This prevents everyone in the area from watering on the same day and potentially causing water level issues in the storage tanks and helps ensure the water pressure remains consistent.
Residents of the Fresh Water Supply Districts of Paloma Creek and Northlake Estates are currently provided water and sewer services by the Districts and the infrastructure is owned by the Districts. Mustang SUD only serves as the "water operator" for the Districts under an agreement with the Districts and Mustang SUD reads the meters and conducts billing operations on behalf of the Districts.
